Ton of new stuff that needs to be photographed, but what is it?

I've had a lot of small drawings that I have not photographed. I think I'm in love with them, but not sure what's happening. They're related to my process of photograph collecting. I've realized lately that I love the images I collect so much, that I have to do something else with them. I scanned these, but my scanner is too small for most of them.

Graphite from a while ago

Sometimes I just draw about the things I am thinking of. These two are from late spring of this year, and are both about 15 inches x 22 inches. For some reason, I always have this urge towards text in my work. I think that propels me forward, but often when I look back I want it to go away. It's important for me in the process, but is not often needed. Here I like it, though.

An Organized Person

I have recently decided to be organized. I was never really messy, or maybe in college, oh wait...my room was usually a MESS when I was younger. I think I progressively became neater as I got older. I've been realizing in the past few years that when things are chaotic and a mess, I feel stuck. Like I will never be able to find anything. There are too many things to look at.

I started to organize my studio a little better. This is what it looks like :

Notice that there are a still a lot of things, but all tightly stacked so that they arn't piled on top of eachother. It actually looks kind of ... like someone with a problem did it.

Part of this has come out of having to make the most of small spaces in the city. I need those boxes and bins, because there is important stuff in them. But...I needed a place to put this bookshelf. I think it works, as long as I don't have to go into the bins too often.

I am a newspaper photograph hoarder now. I started with photographs on misc. better paper, but now I can't get enough of these. The New York Times is printed on better paper than The Philadelphia Inquirer. The NYTimes paper is luxurious and silky compared to the Inquirer. When I get the New York Times, I seem to save almost every single photograph for later. The Inquirer, on the other hand, only gives me a few that I find worthy.

Intro to Photograph collection (Click on images to enlarge)

I have been collecting photographs for a while now. At first, I was just making drawings for my large pieces, and then I started to give in to my hoarding tendencies. I love images, and especially certain ones. I save the ones I must have and catalogue them away for later. The photographs below seemed to belong on the underlying trait diagrams.

Some more small work from earlier this year

It's Not That Bad, It's Just That They Don't Care, ink on paper

You are Really Pushy
And Really Rude, ink on paper

Benezir Bhutto, ink on paper

These small works are a very important part of my process. They are generated directly and spontaneously from my reaction to stories I hear from the media, or people's lives. They become large work in the end, but I like to look back on them and consider them small pieces that stand alone.
